How to find genotype frequencies

Genotype frequencies are the frequencies of the homozygous dominant (AA) heterozygous (Aa) and homozygous recessive (aa). If you're using population genetics, then they are the p^2, 2pq, and q^2 values. Allele frequencies are the frequencies of each allele, dominant (A) and recessive (a). In population genetics these are p & q. Gamete frequencies refer to the proportion of gametes made that have each allele. So, a heterozygous individual (Aa) makes 1/2 A and 1/2 a gametes. A homozygous individual makes only one kind of gamete. Gamete frequencies are usually only determined for individuals. But, if you did determine them for a population, they would be the same as allele frequencies since each gamete only carries one allele for each gene.
