iPhone and iPad Internal Search - iPhone Friday!
From http://billsklodowski.com - We've talked about using SIRI - the iPhone built-in "digital assistant" found in all iPhones and iPads - to do all sorts of things. You can find a store or restaurant location near you or just about anywhere... you can use it to make a phone call, send a text message, or send an email to anyone listed in the Contacts app on your device. There's a lot more, but Siri is not the topic for this video! Instead, we're talking about - and showing off - the internal search functionality of the iPhone or iPad. There's no fancy name for it (like Siri)... it's just known as "search." You can use it to do all sorts of things with the data stored on your iPhone or iPad. This means you can "search" your iPhone to find contacts (yes, just like Siri), but also find emails from a specific person or company, find any app, or find (and open) any of the myriad "settings" on the device. There's a lot that search can do for you ... this video will discuss some of the more popular and powerful functions... and how you can use search by either typing or speaking it directly to your phone... very cool!
