Horizon Zero Dawn - Ultra Hard NG+ speed run (approx. 2:50:27)
PS4 Pro, HDD Ultra Hard, New Game + Approx. 2:50:27 (starting game time at 1:16, ending game time at 2:50:52) DISCLAIMER: I am not an experienced speed runner at all and I don't even have split software or an actual capture device. This video was streamed directly from my PS4 Pro and my completion time was gotten from looking at the in-game clock at the start (after skipping the first cutscene) and at the end (right before overriding Hades) and calculating the difference. This is the first game I've ever tried speed running, and on the hardest difficulty no less. I typically don't even play games on the hardest difficulty but Horizon is just so much fun. I've done 5 full runs total and this one is my best and my last. I'm happy with all my combat encounters and only died twice towards the end because of stupid falls, which probably cost me about 1 minute. My main issues are travel (I'm not good at proper rolling nor knowing the best paths to take) and I'm sure I don't do all the possible tricks to save time. I also know I played it too safe, especially at the Gaia Prime section with the Glinthawks and Ravagers, which cost me a lot of time, but oh well. Overall, I'm happy I got a time below 3 hours. It's a far cry from world record, but I'm satisfied.
