Spring at Little Uvas Creek Preserve
Little Uvas Creek Preserve is bustling with life. Normally closed to the public, we take you on a journey through serpentine grassland, oak woodland and chaparral habitats, gray pines and toyon. We learn about serpentinite and chert and serpentine-adapted wildflowers. We explore five spring-fed ponds that support wildlife such as birds, damselflies, dragonflies, fish, frogs and the threatened western pond turtle.
