Gibson entre Febrero del 2008 y Enero del 2009 lanza una serie de instrumentos denominados guitar of the Month. Cada uno de los 12 modelos (uno por mes) consta de características distintivas revisitando el catálogo previo de la firma. De cada uno de estos modelos sólo se fabricaron 1000 unidades, por lo que son instrumentos particularmente difíciles de encontrar.
