How To FIX STUTTERING In FALLOUT 4 & MY OPTIMAL 4K + 1440p Settings

Are you wondering How to fix micro-stuttering in Fallout 4? Well this video is for you, I have found that shadows is the main culprit in this game on the graphics side of things, so turning that to medium or low (even if you have a very beastly machine) can help improve performance a lot and contribute to less stuttering / frame drops. Also another thing I found for some odd reason was that the game was slightly more smoother with hyperthreading disabled (however only do this on i7s or Xeons where you have enough cores to compensate), also to do this you will need to go into your bios when your computer starts and hit f2 or del key and look for intel hyperthreading and change the value to disabled. And lastly there is the 64hz trick which I found worked well when my Korean monitor was overclocked to 64hz to match, other than that I thought it played worse on a 60hz monitor with this settings boosted, i.e. only do it if you can overclock your panel to 64hz. To set manual frame limits download MSI afterburner here - http://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner To disable Vsync through .ini file (for amd users? as Nvidia users can do it via control panel as shown in vid) - To unlock frame rate open Fallout4Pref.ini (located at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\). Search for the line iPresentInterval=1, and change it to iPresentInterval=0 And lastly my system specs. 4K Rig - 5820K @ 4.2ghz @ 1.25v 16GB DDR4 @ 2666 @ 1.22v 980ti @ 1379mhz Asrock X99X Killer Fatailty 1440p Rig - 6600k @ 4.6ghz @ 1.35v 16GB DDR4 @ 2400 @ 1.2v GTX 970 @ 1550mhz MSI Z170A Gaming M5 **Other notes*** - High vs ultra textures really didn't make a difference for me at 1440p or 4k, so they are not that important nor were they more taxing on GPU or System resources, and this game was surprisingly not that VRAM intensive. Also all these tweaks are reversible. Another note is that this game uses around about 4GB of System ram when I checked usage with afterburner, so 8GB of system ram is more than enough to run this game fine (I also found the allocation of CPU resources was odd, hence the reason for turning off hyperthreading). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Buy PC Games at massively discounted prices!* http://www.cdkeys.com/?mw_aref=techyescity **Support TYC for free when you shop on amazon!** http://amzn.to/1Nmeh4p ***Buy Games from G2A at great prices!*** https://www.g2a.com/r/techyescity ****Check me out on twitter*** * https://twitter.com/techyescity *****Check me out on facebook***** https://www.facebook.com/techyescity ******Doing this gig (and keeping it 100% real) is hard... support TYC directly with a monthly donation.****** http://www.patreon.com/techyescity ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intro Music - Different Heaven - OMG (NCS Release)
