Line 6 DL-4 [modded: Double Preset mod, Volume Drop mod & Custom Exterior] - Demo

This is a demo of a modded Line 6 DL-4 with the following mods: - Double Preset / Presets - Volume Drop - Custom Exterior See it here more clearly: - http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/DemolitionColorScheme/ModdedDL-4.jpg - http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/DemolitionColorScheme/DemolitionColorScheme/Studio%20and%20Home/IZAHPedalboard-July2009.jpg The mods have been done by a friend of mine, his company is called; - Technophobia Analog Audio Solutions [ http://technophobia.co.nr/ ] I demo the 3 banks [1. Tube Echo / 2. Analog w/mod / 3. Auto-Volume Echo] that I've stored since I didn't see much use in demoing the rest of the unit. There are plenty of DL-4 demo's out there. I just wanted to bring this modded version out there a bit more. Also, I forgot to demonstrate the volume drop, but trust me, there's no difference anymore from clean to delay, the volume is completely equal. Now and then I'm running the RV-5's modulated reverb in conjunction with the DL-4 and the pedal before the DL-4 that is always on is the Keeley C4. The pedals I'm running with the Auto-Volume Echo are these: - ModFactor [deep and heavy chorus] - DMM - BOSS RV-5 [modulated reverb] Also, the recording could have been better but I'm still finding my mic placement, I noticed that there's some extra high-end in there that the mic picked up due to the placement. I hope this has helped make people excited about their DL-4's again! It's a great pedal on its own and especially, for me, because of the Tube Echo and the Auto-Volume Echo [its swell ramp setup is really nice, better than the Slow Gear or Slow Motion + it has delay and modulation]. The Tube Echo is especially cool because it changes tonal characteristics when tapping a faster or slower tempo. Slower: more mixed in and bassy / Faster: more textural and texture like with more high end and warble. Very unique interaction, I'll say! - - - Gear used for recording: - Camera: Canon PowerShot A470 - Customized Sony Vaio vgn-ns11m Audio Laptop: dualcore processor, 4 GB RAM memory, 250 GB harddrive - Shure SM57 - PreSonus FirePod - Ableton Live 6.01 - Added a Limiter, and a tiny bit of EQ to even everything out as much as possible. - - - Gear used: Guitar: - Fender '93 ltd. Golden Jazzmaster - CiJ w/ matching headstock [Mustang Bridge, Buzz Stop added and Tremolo Arm fixed] .012 Elixir strings (tuned to C Standard) ( http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/DemolitionColorScheme/DemolitionColorScheme/Studio%20and%20Home/Fender93ltdGoldJazzmasterwithmatchi.jpg ) Amp: - Fender '69 Silverface [modded to Blackface] Twin Reverb ( http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/DemolitionColorScheme/DemolitionColorScheme/Studio%20and%20Home/AmpsSetup.jpg ) Pedalboard: - IZAH Pedalboard - July 2009 ( http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/DemolitionColorScheme/DemolitionColorScheme/Studio%20and%20Home/IZAHPedalboard-June-July2009.jpg ) Signal chain: - Keeley C4 - 4 Knob Compressor - Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret - Custom True Bypass Looper - 1 Loop & 1 Tuner Out :: IN :: LOOP: - Eventide ModFactor - Line 6 Echo Park - Eventide TimeFactor - Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man [modded: true bypass] - BOSS RV-5 TUNER OUT: - BOSS TU-2 :: OUT :: - BBE Sonic Stomp (in the Mesa Boogie rack) :: Mesa Boogie FX Loop :: - BOSS GE-7 (in the Mesa Boogie rack) [modded: 9V input, blue LED] - 2x Burkey Flatliner SIX (power supply) (one on the board, one in the Mesa Boogie rack) - - - More info on the total gear [for all you gearheads]: - http://guitargeek.com/chat/showthread.php?s=&threadid=100652 All mods by Technophobia Analog Audio Solutions: - http://technophobia.co.nr/ - - - For info on my music projects, see: - Arafúra: http://www.MySpace.com/ArafuraMusic Ambient / Post-Rock / Shoegaze / Classical - IZAH: http://www.MySpace.com/IZAHband Post-Metal / Sludge / Progressive
