Martin Logan Dynamo Subwoofer - $80 FB Marketplace- MSRP $649 Average Guy Hi-Fi Score - 40/50 = 80% Demo Movie - Overlord Website: https://www.paramount.com/movies/overlord Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Overlord-Blu-ray-Pilou-Asbaek/dp/6317578826/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2VA7V09XB54ER&dchild=1&keywords=overlord+4k+blu+ray&qid=1585097268&sprefix=Overlord+4%2Caps%2C270&sr=8-2 Martin Logan Dynamo Website: https://www.martinlogan.com/en/product/dynamo Type - Sealed subwoofer, non-resonant asymmetrical chamber format Woofer - 10” Aluminum High Excursion Woofer RMS Power - 200 Watts Frequency response - 25–120 Hz ±3dB; Anechoic through LFE effects input Cabinet - Black Dimensions (front firing) - 13.9" x 11.7" x 12.9" Weight (pounds): 28.5 MSRP Value - $649 Where I Purchased - Facebook Marketplace Price Paid - $80 Condition - 80% (not included in the Average Guy Hi-Fi score) Very good condition but has dings in the black paint. Quality - 9.0 Very high quality, especially considering the $649 price tag. The woofer is very nice quality and so are the stands, knobs, grill etc. I love the fact that you have it front or rear firing. I am actually surprised other subwoofer manufacturers haven’t adopted a similar way of providing the consumers with this option. Bass - 8.0 Clean and deep bass response in most rooms. I had very good results going back and forth between the Depth i I own and this little Dynamo and it held it’s own. That’s saying a ton as the Depth i was $2,195. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely prefer the Depth i over the Dynamo but it doesn’t have 3x the performance, if going off MSRP pricing. This would be an idea sub for someone with a nice 2 channel system for music. It also works well for movies, as long as you aren’t tryin yo fill a larger room. MSRP Rating - 7.5 I think Martin Logan really made a little overachiever at a great price. This little sub was a killer deal at $649, no doubt about it. The 12” version, Abyss, was $1,099 (killer sub) but I would definitely opt for two Dynamo subwoofers over a single Abyss, for a little more. Aesthetics - 7.5 It is a pretty basic looking Subwoofer, which I like, it’s just not going blow you away. I really do like the fact that you can have it either front firing or down firing, so you have visual options. Price Paid Value - 8.5 Martin Logan commands a premium on the used market and anytime you can get one of their subwoofers anywhere near $80, you are doing very good. Average Guy HiFi Rating - 40/50 = 80% Final thoughts - Again, I’ve owned a few of these subwoofers and they continue to impress me. The size, performance and the understated looks is a very appealing package to me. Great bass in a compact package! Other Equipment used: Definitive Technology Mythos ST L/R, Definitive Technology Mythos Six Surrounds, Denon AVR-X3300W Receiver, Marantz MM7055 Amplifier, LG C9 OLED 65” TV, LG 4K Blu-ray Player, Panamax M7500-PRO, Xbox One X Subscriber Count At The Time Of This Video - 193 Quarantine - Day 25
