Just Got my 3 lightning cables (generic) from Itechdeals.com for $5.99 for 3. They work on an Ipad
Disclaimer: Boring video of me opening my package of 3 lightning cables I ordered from itechdeals. I ordered these 3 lightning cables (generic black) from itechdeals.com for $5.99 for 3. I found this deal on dealmac... but after reading reviews on slickdeals/fatwallet... I got really scared that these cables wouldn't work because they were so cheap (and not officially licensed like the apple cables or the monoprice ones for $10). Long story short: 1) The three cables I got all work on an ipad 4. I haven't been able to try them on an iphone 5, 5s or 5c. I know.. that's the more interesting question. I only tested this on an ipad 4 running either ios 7.0 or 7.0.3. I was pleasantly surprised at how the cables felt and looked. They essentially look like the cable you can get from apple. But upon closer inspection you will notice slight differences: * Cable is slightly thinner than the original cables. * The end of the connector feels fragile.. so be careful handling the ends. I was surprised at how fast I got my shipment. I ordered on 11/6. That same day I received a shipment notification. It arrived on 11/12 (shipped DHL)... basically less than a week. It was very surprising.. I think the cables shipped from New Jersey.. and I live in California. So in summary.. all 3 cables are working on an ipad 4 running iOS 7.0.3 They are kind of fragile but look just like the original lightning cables from apple. The video shows me comparing both original vs the ones I got. http://www.itechdeals.com/ IT-85PIN I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (http://www.youtube.com/editor)
