International Anton Rubinstein Competition Double Bass 2022 Prize 4: Riccardo Baiocco, Italy C. D. von Dittersdorf: Concerto - Movement I Giovanni Bottesini: Grande Allegro di Concerto alla Mendelssohn Giovanni Bottesini: Concerto No. 2 - Movement I Teppo Hauta-aho: Kadenza for solo double bass Riccardo starts studying double bass with the professor Piermario Murelli in 2010 at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, where he will obtain the I level academic diploma in 2017 and the second level academic diploma in 2019. In the meantime he has done several Masterclasses with Franco Petracchi, Thomas Martin, Thierry Barbé, Eugene Levinson, Jeff Bradetich Mirella Vedeva Ruaux, Alberto Bocini, Enrico Fagone, Francesco Siragusa, Giuseppe Ettorre and others. Since 2016 he has been in the class of professor Franco Petracchi at the Stauffer Center for Strings. He did the Italian youth orchestra in 2016 and from 2017 to 2019 the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala Academy. Since 2020 he has been attending a Master Orchestra in the class of professor Alberto Bocini in the Haute école de musique de Genève and has been an internship for the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, L'orchestre de Chambre de Geneve and the Ensemble Contrechamps. He won some auditions to collaborate like double bass tutti in Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Fondazione dell’Arena di Verona, Orchestra del Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino of Florence, Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste, Orchestra Regionale Toscana of Florence, Orchestra of the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari and like double bass solo in Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste and Sinfonietta de Lausanne. He was awarded in International Music Competition City of Stresa XXXVI Edition 2018, International J.M.Sperger Competition for Double Bass (2020 Quarantine Edition), VI Rizzardo Bino Competition 2022, Giorgi Competition 2022, Note of Talent Competition 2022. He currently has a temporary contract as a double bass tutti in Sinfonieorchester Basel.
