Meet David Sivor, who joined us at the International Youth Meeting Dachau last summer to share his story. Visit our YouTube to see the entire eyewitness talk. David Sivor survived the Shoa as a child. He was born on July 28, 1934 in Bratislava into a Jewish family. He spent the time of the war hiding at different places, but many of his family members were deported to concentration camps and death camps. While some survived, many didn’t. After the war ended, David moved to Israel to live and work in a kibbutz, later on he became a professional swimming coach.
