Ghost Recon Future Soldier PC Multiplayer Gameplay 7 - Thermals and Flanking
Finally got a good recording where I illustrate how awesome Stun Mines are, kind of, but also how useful Thermal Optics can be as well. The match starts with me trying to snipe using the KVSK, but it doesn't take long for me to give that up and switch to the Bizon. You can see that right on my first life with an SMG, I already kill so many people that I'm forced to pick up a dropped assault rifle so that I can keep shooting at things. You also see just how useful Thermal Optics can be when the enemy tries to use Smoke Grenades to push through, or at least to try to obscure your vision, most of the time you need to be careful of an enemy using them too though. You also see how Stun Mines can be directly useful for getting hacks as well, and how they're still less useful than the Stun Gun since you can't easily pick the place to stun the enemy. With the one illustrated here, you can see that had an enemy run out of spawn as I was hacking the guy, I would have been hosed or possibly even stunned and hacked. With the Stun Gun, you'll usually be able to tag someone while they're next to cover (which is also when they're standing still, making them easy targets), whereas with the Stun Mine you're forced to place them according to the environment and the enemy approach, and pray that someone steps on it at the right time. Still and all, if nothing else they're good for slowing the enemy down significantly.
