Mind blown! Send data from ANY HTML form to Airtable with the new webhook automation trigger.
I have recently discovered that it is possible to use new Airtable Automation trigger (webhook) as a way to gather submissions from any type of HTML form. The webhook trigger as of making of this video is still in ALPHA stage, so there might be updates, but general concepts should remain true. Airtable forms are functional but their design can be only minimally customized. Many other ways to create HTML forms like for example Webflow or WordPress form are missing an easy way to transfer data to Airtable. This scenario turned out to be a great solution for a friend who was struggling to configure Form Ninja on his WordPress site. Using Airtable and webhook automation to get form data turned out to be a free form solution for his WordPress page. Additionally using Airtable webbook allowed to avoid setting up any email system inside WordPress to send out confirmation emails. Any follow up emails to the form after the submission can be executed inside Airtable automations.
