Windows 8 Running on an iPad
I made this video to show Windows 8 Release Preview running on an iPad using VMware View. So it is actually running "in the cloud" and streaming to my iPad, which accounts for the relatively poor responsiveness. I am indebted to this post, http://myvirtualcloud.net/?p=2991, which pretty thoroughly describes how to do it. I did it initially using the Consumer Preview, then upgraded the vm to the Release Preview. The only real gotcha I ran into is that it is very unforgiving with respect to the amount of video memory you configure. I used 128 MB, per the post, and it worked fine.
