Best Small Quest 2 Carrying Case For Elite & Halo Straps | KIWI Design Carry Case Review
In this video, I review a rather compact small Quest 2 carrying case that fits the default soft strap, an elite strap, and even halo straps! YOU NEED TO SELECT THE NEWER CASE OR BUY FROM THEIR STORE TO GET THEIR LATEST CASE. The KIWI design carrying case for the Quest 2 is a bit of a Dr Who TARDIS. In that, it looks small and compact on the outside, yet it manages, somehow, to fit in not only the default soft strap, the Quest 2 headset and 2 controllers. But it can also fit the Elite strap, and through some black unicorn magic, it can also fit a halo strap inside its tiny 24 x 21 x 14 cm dimensions. I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile this little Quest 2 case is. Fitting the headset with the soft strap attached is just overkill for this case. There is so much room left for quite a number of additional accessories, such as link cables, power adapters and charging cables, and many more. With an Elite or Halo strap attached to your headset though, you might start to get less room for each kind of accessory. But that didn't bother me too much as the case is nicely compact, its scratch-resistant and waterproof fabric exterior would keep my headset protected, and even controllers with grips and halo covers would fit too. In this video, I try the case on a number of head straps. Including, the default soft strap, Oculus Elite Strap, KIWI design's own Upgraded Elite Strap, Aubika's Elite Strap with Battery, BOBOVR M2 Pro and also the Jayol Halo Strap. All of these fit in the case without any issues or too much pressure on the zip. Elite straps can get away with controllers still fixed onto the elastic straps inside the case's lid. While Halo straps required positioning the controllers within the bottom of the case. Still, this works well and there is still a little room for the battery pack of the BOBOVR M2 or another battery bank, like the VR Power 2. Compared to the official case and VR cover case, the KIWI design travel carrying case is much smaller, which makes you think it isn't capable of containing any bulky strap, accessorised Quest 2 headset, but it manages to cope with just that without any stressing. I love it. And I love its price. At $42.99, that's cheaper than the official case and it can fit much more types of straps and accessories than the very limited official case that can only cater for its own head strap and limited controller accessories.
