Migration Mysteries (1966) Documentary by Walter Breckenridge
Vintage Bell Museum film! This is Walter J. Breckenridge's Migration Mysteries. For this film, I had two reels (called Migration Mysteries Part 1 and Part 2 respectively) and I had a narration track Breckenridge recorded at some point. Breckenridge frequently cut and recut his films for his live delivery of them, so the digitize reels did not match his narration (because they were done at different times) so I (Kyle Grindberg) with his daughter Barbara Franklin, we carefully rearranged the footage to match his narration. At 55:02 Breckenridge mentions an article that came out "one year earlier" in Audubon Magazine, I found that article and it came out in late 1965 (Graber , Richard R. NIGHT FLIGHT WITH A THRUSH . Audubon Magazine 67 ( 6 ) : 368-374 , illus . Nov. - Dec . 1965 . WR 132 : 66) that how I got the year of 1966 as the release date.
