PNG Govt and BPNG supports and tests the possibilities of blockchain/crypto investments in PNG
The Government of Papua New Guinea has signed an MOU with a group of blockchain/crypto investors from Silicone Valley, US in April 2018 at the time when PNG was hosting the APEC meeting. The MOU was to seek possibilities of using blockchain/crypto in PNG. This was spearheaded by the Governor of Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG) to introduce Blockchain/Crypto as as tool for financial inclusion, a government policy. Howarig Traders conducts it's nationwide seminars to educate participants about blockchain/crypto technology and this can be used by PNGans to benefit. This is a three years old video but it's our government talking about blockchain/crypto via BPNG, something which many PNGans wanted to know if BPNG or Government is against or for it.
