Goodbye Yellow Cache Node!
Feature caching is perhaps* the greatest feature added to FME over the last few years. You run a workspace, and data is cached at every step of the process, with green markers to highlight each cache. It's an amazing tool to help us author a new workspace. But... sometimes I run a workspace, and those caches are immediately yellow, meaning out of date or stale. Like, no errors and no changes, just stale data from the very start. For a very long time, I couldn't understand why. Then I realized, and it seemed so obvious. Now I have some workarounds, and we'll be making a few changes in Workbench to help clarify it for you too. In the meantime, watch the video, and don't let yellow caches go breaking your heart. *Yes, I said, "perhaps". You may disagree. Let me know in the comments what you think is the best.
