'Half Life 2' Audio Project: Inputting Sound Effects to Fill a Minute of Gameplay

I created the Sound Design for this Video as a submission for a college Game Sound Design assignment. The instructions given by the professor were that we must create a sound design in Pro Tools for the first minute of the Half Life 2 video. I.E. - There is NO SOUND WHATSOEVER in the video (as in the video is entirely mute) when we receive it , and it is up to us to go out and find, then edit Enough sound effects to fill EVERY sound that we believe would be present within this given video of Half Life 2 gameplay. Fun Trivia: - There are over 60 different sound effects that were used within this video to fill every action of gameplay. - 3 different sounds were used to create the 'Scary Violins' when the first monsters appeared within the video. - 2 or 3 different sounds each were used to create the introducing and death sound of the first monsters within the video. - I mixed together the sounds of slime, a vampire hiss, and a monster screech to create the noise the bug makes when it first appears within the video. Note: the guts/exploding sound was a combination of various squishy slime sounds. - Making it so that a listener hears the sounds at different volumes, at different reverberations (at different echo levels), and in different Ears (left or right) depending on when you're hearing them takes much longer than one would think. People that do it for a living are incredibly talented. It's awesome! (but also insane).
