To get the time and a quarter pay rate you need to multiply this by 1.25. So 12 multiplied by 1.25 is £15 per hour. In example 2 the normal pay rate is £6.40 per hour. Again to work out time and quarter multiply £6.40 by 1.25 which £8 per hour.
