How "true tone" worked before apple $invented$ it. Galaxy S5 when this was called a "defect"
Galaxies has amoled displays with no white back light which means just like speakers are a reversal of the sound recorded by a cross array to simulate our ears, so when the recording is blasted at say 2 very evenly resonant "boxes" or "panels" these for lack of better words "speakers".... Probably one of the dumbest names we ever settled on other than "car". And when you kill someone it's called vehicular man slaughter... Not car'ash homicide. But a display is also called a screen which is fine, typically naming something after what it is versus what it does is pretty standard. Well for years before apple came out with "with true tone" we demonstrated how the inconsistent whites issue was a fabricated myth that is and I can't stress this enough, exactly as mentally inept as accusing the sun or "inconsistent whites" because it begins to go warm with yellow orange amber and pink hues. We can explained at the time that it went from a "blue tint issue" to a inconsistent whites issue to a "pink tint issue" due to how amoled doesn't have a back light and what is white is dynamically generated directly by a display that doesn't only NOT have a back light you can pretend is consistent, but it doesn't even have subpixels you can blame, but a spread referred or as a matrix, in this case a PenTile Matrix that like with modern camera sensors, are designed with no specific clusters of pixels or any artificial grid you'd call a pixel with subpixels. I. E. The weirdly consensus and aggressive "misunderstanding" of accusations would shift like the so called back light according to whatever would contrast the most to draw attention. This like the way sound is reconstructed without the need for literally every sound source in its place, but so long as the sum of what's heard by the listener is as much like the recording as possible by behaving as if the cross mic array were blasting what was recorded into the 2 "speakers" that would then resonate in sympathy but was designed to disperse the resonance so the rest of the room would resonate similarly to if the original sonic performance in the same sound space would resonate the same way I. E. In a live setting with just a guitarist drummer and singer, they're all sound sources and not resonators or "speakers" so they cast sound through the air which resonates but also resonates the walls of the entire space so that the sum what you hear anywhere is a 3D soundscape. Likewise a camera records video or snaps a picture through a lens which flattens a 3D space into a 2D panel. That panel has pixels that take in light each resonates wavelengths where the amplitude is shade and the surface of the sensor has pixels that "resonates" whatever light it's exposed to. Light and acoustics are very similar. You can lense sound by cupping your hands, you can lense light with anything glossy and cupping the light. White noise is the entire frequency range and you can hear it when under a water fall, or even listening very closely to a very strong water faucet. White noise can vary in intensify to sound like it's water going through a turbine, or it can be played at a whisper. White likewise is not a color but all frequencies summed and average. Right now you are likely standing under warm lighting because before the electronic displays blue lighting was rare so rare what we call a blue sky isnt even blue, it's just the shadow of the warm orange sun after high noon since the opposite of orange is blue. That's why we have the concept of black being so black it's blue or white being do white it's blue ancient cultures didn't even have a word for blue like the helenic cultures. The entire illiad is a whole sea voyage plot yet blue doesn't appear once. Blue is a shade of white when it's contrasted against warmth. And likewise amber or pink is a shade of white that's contrasted against blue, like if you were under bluish industrial lighting because your boss hates you and knows blue light causes eye strain and stress since in nature it never really happens. All lighting from the day we hacked fire from spamming a stick to the most common indoor lighting is warm or amber or pink since we for some reason consider pink and baby blue opposites. Back light based displays would go from a high energy blue state and then turn more pink as they age. Blue blocker lenses are meant to help filter out needless blue light. The only reason why displays ever had a blue tint was due to this, and due to how red was very hard to render evenly through the same filtered backlight. Once displays became like cameras and could dynamically adjust its white balance just like a camera does, of course it will. Thats why we demonstrated the "issues" were completely fabricated and Apple too will invent a dynamic white balance 5+ years before Apple did. Another point for people vs corporations. How many times do we have to put innovate corporations more?
