Project Spooky - Part 3 - The Interceptor frame has been stripped
Though not a ground up restoration, we did have to take Spooky almost completely apart anyway just to get things cleaned up properly. We unfortunately got a little too focused on the task and didn't get any video of the Interceptor running after the carburetors were rebuilt. Sometimes when you're on a roll... We did get the frame painted close to stock. Though the Interceptors look like they have an aluminum frame, it's actually steel painted to come out like aluminum. We managed to find a color that came out perfectly. The forks have been removed and will be replaced with a better set from one of the parts motorcycles. In the video the Interceptor in the background is the donor for the forks. The original swingarm and rearsets are still attached while their replacements are being polished. We also have the engine out to be painted, it's generally dirty and faded from sitting too long. This is sort of a transition phase for the Honda and the video is just as short as the write up, only so much you can say about a pile of parts! Tune in next time for the polishing.
