Tacitus AGRICOLA (in Latin)—Part IV: Chapters 10-12

This tutorial offers a guided translation (and grammatical analysis) of the Latin text of Tacitus' Agricola. Cornelius Tacitus (A.D. 56-118 approx.) was a politician and historian of the Roman Empire. Tacitus' work dramatizes the evils of uncheck Executive Power and strongly influenced the thinking of America's Founders. The Agricola was first published in A.D. 98. The Latin of Tacitus is notoriously (but not impossibly) difficult. This tutorial is the work of the Detroit Greek and Latin Educational Foundation (DGL).
