UNBOXING: Fanatec Podium F1 Wheel (PS4)
This piece of art was at the top of my list when I decided to take my sim racing career to next level. After having read multiple reviews and comparing similar offerings from competitors, I narrowed down to this for following reasons: • Direct Drive • Made for PS4 (including Pro) and PC • Officially licensed by Sony for F1 (or other forumula series like F2) Pros: • Direct Drive • Licensed for F1 2019 Cons: • Cost • As its a Direct Drive wheel base, requires a cockpit which can support Direct Drive, so additional cost for the rig. On the cost front, instead of spending chunks of money on non-DD wheel bases, I would advice to save towards this kit as this would probably be the only wheel base one would ever need as long as your racing rig is mostly comprised of Fanatec bits.
