Trying to make my own Spark Wheel - Fail (2160p_25fps_AV1-128kbit_AAC)
In this video you can see how I tried to make my own spark wheel for the lighter I have built. It didn't throw enough sparks and was very inconsistent, so I decided to use a bought one instead. The problem was definitely the pattern. I tried a straight knurling pattern in the video first, then I also tried a few different ones, made on the milling machine with a rotary table. They also didn't work much better. The bougt one has a pattern like a file, with real tooth shaped spikes.
