Marantz CD-11 Mk2 - probably one of two or three of Marantz top players ever.
This is a job I did for a customer in Melbourne who now became my friend. Beautiful Marantz CD-11 Mk2 which needed some service after 20 years. Main problem was that the CD drawer would not come out and it fixed by replacing 2 belts on the left of the player. I also replaced one of the two responsible for the clamp (the harder one to do) as it started to deteriorate and lost its elasticity. Additionally, there was a problem with one channel being louder then other and it was traced to the DAC board where a bit of corrosion set in and a couple of tracks needed to be repaired. Otherwise in pristine condition. Two things I have to tell you; they don't make them like that any more and I wish I could afford one. It weighs almost 20kg and sounds superb.
