Tales of Destiny DC - Mary Solo - Lens Hunters (Stahn, Rutee, Mary)
-Chaos mode -No damage -No items No, this isn't actually the start of a new run. This is me fooling around with my favorite Tales game that I haven't played in years, with a character I never really got into playing, against a boss that said character isn't even supposed to battle in a standard run. That being said, I never imagined that Mary vs. The Three Musketeers would turn out so good. After some hours of practice, I was pretty amazed by how good Mary's crowd control is, and I'm only scratching the surface here. Gou Majinken travels through enemies; Retsu Majinken not only has good range, but also hits behind Mary with its arc-like hitbox; Shunjinrouga is tricky, but works wonders concerning positioning if used correctly; Shishioumessai covers so much horizontal space that Largo's Beast pales to it; Bakujinkyousatsu doesn't have that much range, but can still hit two of the enemies and is suited to stop them while running towards you; and finally, Kagerou can get you out of nasty situations and gets you back to the ground after moves that leave you in the air. Nevertheless, Namco did a great job at giving the trio late-game stuff right at the beginning of the game and making them pretty annoying in the process. Everyone will throw a large variety of moves at you. Rutee can cast Tidal Wave (which takes as much casting time as Ice Needle - great balancing), and it's especially bothersome since even if you focus on her, Stahn might do what he's not best at and start casting Fire Ball. Aside from that, his moves have rather large hitboxes, so it's best to stop him before he gets too close. Fighting Mary herself is as evil as my explanations above might imply, so again, try using Artes before she does, and don't let her get too close. In general, it's a good idea to keep the three of them in one place and hit them all in your combos. I might record some more Mary if I feel like it (since she seems pretty underrepresented), but as mentioned before, I don't plan to make a full run with her at the moment (maybe some time in the future...). Menu BGM: L's Theme B - Death Note
