Wacom cintiq 24HD CCFL backlight failure demonstration
I pulled the backlights from a failing wacom monitor, the screen normally would turn on for a second then turn off. What is happening is the backlight has burned out and needs replacing. For more detail about the cause and a few solutions to fix this (theres like only 2 that work) visit the wacom repair project blog i made. I also have included how to install an LED repair kit to the monitor. http://ronox.xyz/wordpress/category/wacom-24hd-repair-project/ Also ill note the "potting" material used to fix the inverter board was ordinary, but very pure, caulking silicone, its a very effective high voltage insulator. Also for inverter repair, the capacitors are 3kv 15J, though ive been told 6kv might be more suitable.
