Pac-Man C. E. DX+: Manhattan Score Attack (10 min) - 4.403.300 [26/05/2019]
If somebody asks you if 4,4kk points is possible at Manhattan, tell them... HELL YEAH! Actually, this is not the recent replay I said I would upload soon. This is from today. To be frank, after that recent run (4,383,600) I tried a lot more of times to reach that 4,4kk barrier without success. I tried several different routes, maximizing ghosts, skipping mazes, both mixed up, etc. And I always ended up scoring 4,3kk not matter what. But in those games there were always unlucky RNG and/or at least one major mistake that screwed up the run and made me lose many seconds. And as I said, breaking this kind of points barrier would required a perfect game. So, I gave up, lol. But this morning I thought on giving it one more try. With the same route I've done before with a couple of changes and... done. Now this is what I meant by a "nearly perfect" run. An almost non-stop running: ability + luck. Yes, as you can see I was really lucky with the RNG in general. But luck is not enough to do this. I had to be extremely aware all the time of what would be happening around the next corners ahead with our (un)friendly ghost Blinky. Trying to control and influence his movement. So, in several sections, instead of waiting for him to pass through first as I usually do, I went all-in and tried to anticipate him myself. At the same time in some other mazes, I chose to stop half a second to avoid facing him by front, and allowing him to join the train instead. You may think 'it's just one ghost', yes, but that single ghost can easily screw up your game when you're aiming to score this high. Believe me, he's really inopportune. Finally, I had to take some crucial decisions on the last loop, in order to reach in time that particular maze full of ghosts. And fortunately, every little mistake or unexpected encounter with Blinky, I managed to fix them instantly. And this is the result. The last loop was intense. And that last ghost... that must have been the most delicious ghost ever, hahaha. Thanks for watching. Don't you ever forget it, you can always get better.
