Doom Eternal - Slayer Gate with Cyberdemon
Cyberdemons (called Tyrants here) appear for the first time in the Slayer Gate of ARC Complex, the 6th level in Doom Eternal. This is the weakest incarnation of the iconic demon among all Doom games. But it's still hard to kill it due to the hordes of demons around it. 3 or 4 shots into its face with the super shotgun would do it. But it's likely easier to use grenades and rockets. Demons seem to spawn endlessly in a fairly tight layout, making it tough to juggle weapons and decisions in a timely manner, a key to beat this thing. This was played at ultra-violent. I was near death several times in this gameplay video, usually saved by a timely glory kill. Also helpful was the rune that speeds me up after glory kill, and the rune that resurrects me briefly in slow motion. The game designers also did a great job showing the various stages of bloodiness of the cyberdemons/tyrants. This gameplay was recorded at 2160p/60fps on a PC with an Nvidia RTX 2060 Super video card, with "Nightmare Ultra" (highest) graphic settings in the game. My controls are as follows, which I changed quite a lot from defaults. I experimented with many different key combinations before settling on these: WASD, Space - movement Shift - dash Left Alt - use equipment (grenades, etc.) 1 - shotgun 2 - heavy cannon 3 - super shotgun 4 - chaingun 5 - rocket launcher 6 - plasma rifle 7 - ballista E - equipment cycle R - weapon mod cycle F - melee, glory kill, grab walls, use world objects. Mouse 1, 2 - primary/secondary weapon features Mouse 3 - chainsaw Mouse 4 - flame belcher (I have a 5-button mouse: Logitech G502 Hero)
