DVD Camcorder with a Secret - Sony HDR UX10
@WaybackRewind The Sony HDC-UX10 was the last in a line of DVD camcorders. DVD Camcorders started out as a good idea for folks that just wanted to shoot video and then play it on their DVD players. Problem was that by 2008 folks wanted High Definition and DVD is not a high definition format. The 8cm Mini-DVDs had very limited recording time already and squeezing High Definition onto them only made it absurdly worse with 11 minute recording time on a slow and expensive disc. The Memory Stick Pro Duo changes all that by making this one of the first solid state High Definition Camcorders. The ability to record in HD on solid state media makes this camera a hidden gem.
