Philips CD-60 CD player with mods
A 1989-built unit that I modified quite significantly... major mods include: (1) Discrete output stage (incl. I/V). Note this is the "floating" veroboard with red biasing LEDs. (2) External clock based on Tent Labs oscillator. Clock has dedicated divide-by-two daughterboard which independently injects TDA1541A (3) TDA1541A "Double Crown" D/A converter chip. (4) Many capacitors replaced with higher-quality Panasonic and Wima brands. (5) Auricap on mains power. I’ll add details to this description section soon. Note: The Philips CD-60 is identical to Marantz CD-60 (sold in Europe and Asia)
