John Adams and his gift of homespun. I finally found another

John Adams in his first letter to Thomas Jefferson after their long, cold and nasty seperation. Was one of warmth and friendship that was a quality of Adams. Once you got past his gruff exterior. He said in that first letter that he was sending some homespun. That homespun was a two book set written by John Quincy Adams. I searched for a long time to find another copy of those books. They were when I found them very expencive. But luck was in my court six years ago when I found a set. So I wished to tell the story of the homespun. Dealing with the young Adams and his lectures at Harvard University. They were published in 1810 and were not printed in such large amounts. So finding them as I did was amazing at best. So here is the story of the homespun and my quest and finally my joy to find them. The copies I have are very dry. I will in time have new covers made for them. As the originals are very dry and flakey. When picked up one of the two books, pieces flaked off. So fear not. For in time they will be restored back to health.
