Richard Ingebretsen (Physics Professor and Associate Dean for Student Affairs) and I went on Good Morning Utah (ABC 4 News) to promote The Physics of Freestyle event held on Thursday March 27, 2014 at the Eccles Center in Park City, Utah. The event was sponsored by the University of Utah's College of Science and the Park City Education Foundation. The event was designed to help K-12 students understand how science is used by winter sports athletes to make them better at their trade. People who attended learned about the physics behind skiing and snowboarding, with a look at a few common tricks used during various freestyle events.
