WARRIOR CRY to Release Anxiety and Fear!
I'm sure you've heard all sorts of ways to release uncomfortable feelings like anxiety or fear. And I've tried probably ... none of them! Why? Because I found one that works EVERY TIME! What is it? It's a WARRIOR CRY! Well, more like a WARRIOR YELL! I've found that when I bellow my WARRIOR CRY, I release ALL FEAR! Well, maybe not release it... more like, TRANSFORM IT into intense, tunnel-visioned focus. And this doesn’t work just for me. I’ve seen this work instantly on others as well. For over 15 years, I was the hiring manager of a telemarketing/fundraising firm. In order to get hired on, you’d have to sit directly across my desk and read me a script in a way that I felt was smooth and conversational. This was a very unnerving process for timid people. But the ones I thought could do better (had they not been so shy) I would take out into the parking lot and have them release their fear with a WARRIOR CRY! In my 15 year tenure, not a single person ever did it... without me doing it first! I would say "scream." Then, I would get a funny look of uncertainty. I would say "don't worry, no one around here cares." Applicant: "Ummm, what do you mean scream?" Me: "I mean scream. As loud as you can." Applicant: "Right here?" Me: "Yes. Right here." Applicant: "..." Me: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Like that." Applicant: (Eyes WIDE) "..." Me: "Go ahead" Applicant: "Ahhhhhh." Me: "Nope. Really let it go." Applicant: "Ahhhhhhhhh." Me: "That was better. But I wanna really here it. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Let it all out!" Applicant: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Me: "YES!! .... There it was!! How'd that make you feel?" Applicant: "... , really good." Me: "I know. You wanna do it again?" Applicant: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Me: "..." Applicant: "Oh my God... I feel like I just let go of all these things I had built up inside." Me: "I know. It's liberating, isn't it?" Then I would take the applicant back inside and have them re-read me the script. And you wouldn't believe the difference it made. It was like it wasn't even the same person! There's a reason Warriors made WARRIOR CRIES before battle. They were releasing their fear of death. They knew this could be their last moment on this earth and they released this fear my letting it all go with a WARRIOR CRY! A WARRIOR CRY boosts your ability to make logical, BOLD, snap decisions in a mere instant because it increases your testosterone levels by 33%!! When your FEAR is released, your mind becomes clear! You can see and process things more keenly. Does it take courage to bellow like a warrior? You bet it does! Will you feel self-conscious the moment you're about to do it? You bet you will! But the second you overcome this fear and release your WARRIOR CRY, you will be among the millions of warriors who preceded you. The billions who sacrificed their lives for a greater cause than themselves. A warrior stands TALL in the face of adversity. A warrior accepts that this may be their last moment and to put every ounce of effort into this moment. That's when you know you're truly living and not just waiting around to die. What does your WARRIOR CRY sound like? "What a waste it would be to leave this world without ever knowing your WARRIOR CRY"
