Contact a police scanner expert now: Call 737.777.9876 Email zip@zipscanners.com Chat now https://www.ZipScanners.com #WhistlerTRX1 #WhistlerWS1088 #ComparePoliceScanners #PoliceScanner _____________________________________________________________________________ hey guys it's Dixon again from zip scanners where we make skin easy with free shipping no taxes and lifetime technical support from experts like me so today I wanted to talk about these two scanners we have here the GTR x1 and the ws 1088 you can tell the difference by these markings here the TRX-1 will say turbo receive it's a little dim there but I hope you can see it and then this scan digital so that's how you can tell the difference as we get going what I wanted to go over to there are the many similarities these two devices have and the few differences that they also have not much when I just wanted to touch up on that and let you guys know because a lot of people have been asking what is the difference between these two so you know let me do this video and explain so right off the bat so take a look at these tools they are exactly the same if you want to look at the dimension there wasn't much in terms of a the build they didn't change much they just worked on the inside which is TRX-1 and did some of these about minor tweaks so you allowed to have some more capabilities so I'll talk a little bit about that and I'll just kind of give you my opinion on the two and tell you which one I recommend and you know you can't go wrong with being either one of these but what I wanted to just touch base on is little differences subtle differences should I say because that's where do what it is so let's get started something to mention right away is this ws1088 it did not have DMR capability until recently and so you had to do the firmware update to it in order to have that capability with these TRX-1 right out of the box they were DMR capable so you didn't have to do a firmware update I'm going to consider if you purchase this make sure you purchase the One Touch update so we can go ahead and do those firmware updates for you that's part of we try to do here in general actually a zip scanners is to try to make this as easy as possible for all our customers they will not be DMR capable right out of the box unless you purchase that out one touch and if you are a you know expert or you know you have experience working with scanners then you know this wouldn't apply to you you know you can just do it on your own feel free to but again a lot of our customer base you know they don't want to have that know-how and so we're here to help you with that and in general we just wanna make it as easy as possible if these things can be a little scanners in general can be a little difficult if you don't have experience with it so well we've been working with these for a while so we want to take all those issues and make it as easy as possible so you don't have to deal with them the headaches should I say the biggest difference that I want to touch on those let you guys know about the TRX-1 is that it is an X being capable since WS1088 is not so if that is something that is an issue in your area meaning they are using that then Ito you're going to want to make sure that you you go with this TRX-1 because it can monitor an NXDN digital trunking system and so again that is the biggest difference that NXDN capability that people are worried about so if you don't know about your area give us a call we'll be able to help you out but you know if that's an issue in your area if you don't know because a lot of people are like what is that you know we're here to help it's basically a system that some counties and cities are utilizing now some places are using it so it's not an issue but doesn't hurt to have it if in the future they change you'll be able to keep monitoring and pick up whatever you want listen to so keep that in mind and that's usually that's pretty much the biggest difference previous to the other thing that I was told to and it happens to be true with this just Chuck's one has a faster processor so it's just going to be doing things a little bit more quicker than 1088 most people won't even tell that those subtle differences but that's what it is it can do that it's going to be able to just work faster and work better all in all this is the W 1088 I want to say is right now the most affordable digital phase 2 police scanner in the market so if prices are concern this is perfectly fine with sug with purchasing my opinion of these two is if you have the
