How to enable the cheat console for Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Skyrim
If you got fallout 3/new vegas/oblivion/skyrim for computer to try out the console, press '~' to open the console. But if that doesn't work, and you are playing on Windows XP/7 and up, this video will explain how to allow it to work. I filmed this using My Screen Recorder. I realize that when I made this video I was very quiet. However, just by watching, you can see what I do to delete what is preventing you from using console commands. Thanks for watching, and I would appreciate a thumbs up. STEPS 1. Go to device manager, and then under Human Interface Devices you'll find Microsoft eHome Infrared Reciever 2. If the eHome device is there, right click and uninstall. It interferes with the cheat console for some reason. This works for me every time. 3.Only do these next steps IF THERE IS NO INFRARED TRANSCEIVER and the cheat console still does not work. 4.try right-clicking the desktop icon of the game in which you are having problems with the cheat console popping up. 5. Preferences, Compatibility, Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 2. 6. Run the game as administrator after that. Then you should be able to use the cheat console. *DAMN YOU YOUTUBE FOR NOT ALLOWING ME TO USE ARROWED BRACKETS
