DIY Pelican 1050 Bluetooth BoomBox w/Upgrades vs Sony SRS-X5!
Upgraded my brothers Pelican 1050 Bluetooth BoomBox by adding a BBE sound processor, new set of Li-ion batteries along with a cheap eBay charging protection circuit board, and new front speaker grills. The battery protection circuit board allows safe controlled charging of the batteries with a specific current rate and also turns of all power when overall battery voltage drops below ~9V to protect the batteries. Charging only takes a couple hours and the circuit board automatically tops everything off. Last part is a simple comparison between the Pelican 1050BBE and Sony SRS-X5 Boombox!
