@sabshahterracegarden4203. Asystasia gangetica Commonly known as the Chinese violet or Creeping fox glove or Ganges prim rose. It is a beautiful evergreen shrubby plant, which grows upto one meter in height. The Showy clusters of trumpet shape white flowers in combination with shiny Purple color and the green Foliage is the main attraction to give it a place as an Ornamental plant in the garden. Flowers attract insects like Honey bees and Butterflies 🦋 Asystasia belongs to the family Acanthanceae. They grow fast and produce flowers and seeds. Fruits are green in color and become brown on maturity. The fruit pods explode to release black seeds. Asystasia gangetica is native of tropical countries and have Medicinal and Food values. It is used to treat Asthma , Hypertension ,Rheumatism and Diabetes. Flowers and leaves are edible. I kept the plant in open area of my Terrace Garden. The soil used is rich and Well drained. Watering is important to keep the soil moist. Monthly liquid fertilizer is good for Flowering . Propagation is easy by seeds and stem cuttings.
