HIFI 17 : EMOTIVA BASX PT 100/A300 PRE/POWER AMPS + CYRUS & KEF ETC (NVE 0008)
Hear 1) Film Music - Barry Lyndon 2) The Safari Sound Band (Please click on the 'Like or Dislike' button - Thanks) Let's face it, most gorgeous sounding, beautifully engineered high end HiFi Separates are ultra expensive and way beyond the means of many of us music enthusiasts..But respected US Electronics company Emotiva maintain that, with their staff mainly consisting of Audio enthusiasts and no highly paid business men, they have managed to adopt a revolutionary, more logical approach to manufacture and sales which resulted in these very fine BasX PT 100/A300 PreAmp/PowerAmps being priced in the UK for just under £1000 the pair. - That's practically unheard of for this level of high end HiFi. They make the unaffordable affordable. (I got mine second hand) These Class A/B pre/power Amplifiers together produce an output of 150wpc into 8ohms or 300wpc into 4ohms and have a decent DAC, a FM Radio Tuner, Phono Stage for MM and MC Cartridges, RCA Analogue and Optical/Coax Digital Inputs,Bluetooth, trigger connectioning and Headphone socket and remote. The sound quality is fantastic and up there with Amp Combos costing 3 or 4 times as much. They are solid and built like a brick Shiphouse weighing approx 45 LBS. This Video is for Hi-Fi review purposes only. I acknowledge the use of excerpts from material which may be Copyrighted . NOTE : The sound you hear on this 'You Tube' video is an MP3 file downloaded from the actual CD being played. It does not represent the superior sound heard directly from the live speakers in the listening room. The Music : First part is 'Sarabande' from the Soundtrack of the film 'Barry Lyndon' played by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orch (it's an Orchestral arrangement of the 4th mov. of Handel's Keyboard Suite in D Minor HWV 437) The second part is 'Jambo Jambo' performed by The Safari Sound Band from their Album 'The Best Of African Songs '
