GRUNDIG GSB500 Bluebeat vs. AKAI AWS10BK vs. BOSE Soundlink II
The Grundig and Akai are moreorless the same speaker. No idea who really is responsible for the audio engineering (probably some OEM Chinese factory)! Both speakers sound a bit different though. Grundig seems to have tuned the Bluebeat for more bass and less mids. The Akai can play a bit louder, but both are about 20-30% lower in maximum volume than the Soundlink II. The Bose pushes out a much stronger bass, while the other two may sound a bit more natural. At lower levels both Grundig and Akai sound pretty tinny and lifeless, although at higher levels bass becomes quite a bit distorted, because the ports at the back don't seem to be sealed well so air can escape from there. Both go for about 110-120€ in germany, which makes them quite a bargain compared to the Bose, which costs between 270-290€. If one doesn't like bass that much can go either for the Grundig or for the Akai. I would still rather choose the TDK A33 over both.
