In no way is the integrity of the instrument ever affected. The Premium All Solid Mahogany Pequeno Sopranino Ukulele is the smallest member of Ohana’s Vintage Line 28 Series of instruments. This design was inspired by the original Portuguese-style of ukulele that first found its home in Hawaii. Manuel Nunes and Augusto Dias, along with others, worked to develop an instrument that would later be called the “ukulele.” The charm and nostalgia of those early ukuleles has been captured in this re-issue of those classic instruments. The Portuguese inspired styling is evident in every detail of this beautiful ukulele. The unique body shape, the vintage satin finish, the Nunes rope style binding, the Chevron inlays, and the peghead tuners all work together to give you that vintage look and feel. But that beauty is not for the eyes only. The premium all-solid mahogany in itself provides for a sound that is warm and sweet. The neck was designed to attach flush with the height of the body. Without the neck being glued to the top of the soundboard, the mahogany wood is allowed to express itself with a full rich sound, which is surprising for a short-scale ukulele.
