Destiny 2 - Bad Juju weird explosion

I was farming Thrallway for a couple of catalysts the other day and noticed this weird explosion when using Bad Juju. It only happened twice and only with Bad Juju. I tried activating it on command but it seems to be random (the explosion in the video actually scared me lol). I honestly have no idea if this is a bug or a feature. If anyone knows what is this please do let me know in the comments.
