Sound- / Volume Test JBL Xtreme 1 vs Xtreme 2 with Audio Cable
After reading the comments on my initial sound test https://youtu.be/orxyQPAXScs i decided to make another more scientific one. The song may sound boring to you, but i needed a song with constant volume throughout the song in order to simplify the comparison. Here we go, i play the same full song first on the Xtreme1, and then on the Xtreme2. The audio source is exactly the same, and i use the AUX-in on both speakers. Both speakers are turned up to full volume, and after a reset in the same default sound mode. As for the recording, i used an AKG C414 XLII microphone, and recorded with an Zoom H4nPro recorder. The recording level was set to manual 17. At the end i imported the wave file to WaveLab from Steinberg to generate a 3D Frequency Analysis. You can see exactly what the microphone was recording. The frequency response curve of the microphone outperforms those speakers by far (it didn't come cheap!)
