Students are protesting in Uganda after US President Joe Biden threatened the country with sanctions if it adopts a controversial anti-LGBTQ law. They waved banners asserting their right to decide their own destiny. Uganda is far from the first non-Western state to experience unwanted and uninvited interference in its internal affairs.
