My first Camponotus Nearticus Colony
Hey everyone. Sorry it's been a while. Been a very Hectic Few months. Anyway, I found this colony today while out looking for Prenolepsis Imparis queens which are flying in the north east USA for the next few months. This is a mono-queen species, but this colony has a few queens, so I am going to assume that the workers will eliminate the others aside from the main queen. I might remove the two other queens to see if they start their own colonies. These are a nice specie of ant, and they do not get huge, largest colonies no more then 500 ants. So, easy to maintain, and easy to care for. But, they are known for invading and infesting homes, so, it is important that they remain contained within the formicariums and outworlds. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video.
