FINAL FANTASY IX (Level 1) - Scarlet Hair
This is Amarant, but the boss name is Scarlet Hair. The setup here is very deliberate. Zidane needs to be in the front row. But, back row can work as well. He needs counter, man-eater, and auto-potion equipped. Scarlet Hair opens the fight with an attack. This needs to miss. If it does, that's game over. Defend, and then touch nothing! Wait until he attacks three times in a row. The next action will be queued up. If Zidane has evaded all three attacks or if he auto-potioned the last attack, then attack once and repeat. If he is not at full HP, heal and repeat. That's it. How is this run possible? Well, there are only four fights in the entire run that are mandatory and give XP (the grouping after 2nd Prison Cage boss and three sequential pandemonium fights). Bosses in FF9 don't give XP.
