How To Make Loops Fit Your BPM In Logic Pro X To Watch the full Masterclass in one video, please click: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL06-_s1fnFKfZpWMmMogTzf76Mgk1ojix 0:00 - How To Make Loops Fit Your BPM In Logic Pro X There are three easy ways to do this: First Option: Step 1: Drag your loop onto your canvas on a new layer Step 2: While it is highlighted, in your info column, up top in the REGION box - you'll see 'FLEX + FOLLOW' - click that and choose the bottom option (ON + ALIGN BARS & BEATS). This should snap it into place. NOTE: Sometimes it will double time or halftime your loop. In which case refer to the second option below. Second Option: Step 1: Drag your loop onto your canvas on a new layer Step 2: Hold down the ALT/OPTION key, and grab your loop by the bottom right corner (you'll see the icon change when you press the alt key), and manually drag it until it snaps to the end of your bar. Third Option: Step 1: Drag your loop onto your canvas on a new layer Step 2: Press E to access your editor below Step 3: Click to the SMART TEMPO tab Step 4: On the left, click EDIT, and select APPLY PROJECT TEMPO TO REGION AND DOWNBEAT. This should change the loop tempo to match your project tempo. Final notes: If your loop is not a perfect loop, and has a long tail at the end, the above may not help you, you'll need to fine tune using the alt/click/drag method (option 2) until it is sitting perfectly.
