Sociocultural and Health Related Advocacy Issues
March 6, 2013 The nursing students from different semesters will present on several of the sociocultural and health related themes identified in the story "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" and that unfortunately is still visible sixty years later in our society today. Topics include "Human Papillomavirus and Cervical Cancer: Then and Now", "Poverty and the Impact on Health: College Students and the Challenges of Maintaining Health" , "Patients Rights", "Culturally Competent Care" and "Ending the Cycle of Abuse."
