Next Step In Video Quality ~~ Charles Rivera
http://CharlesRivera ~~ Make the quality of your videos more professional. Find out what most Youtubers are beginning to use for the best results with their videos... Video Transcript: The last time I did a somewhat review on the Kodak Zi8 it didnít go all that well, actually it was pretty horrible with the low light conditions and shooting a quick On-the-fly review, but this time I wanna introduce the next generation in creating professional quality online videos. I'm talking about using DSLR cameras, and one of the most popular ones being used for online videos right now is the Canon T2i. That's actually what I'm shooting this video with right now. Now this type of camera is certainly a step up from the Kodak Zi8 and as you can see the quality is just outstanding. And it's also about 5 times as much. The T2i runs right around $700 to $800 but it's such an affordable prosumer camera it seems to have taken over Youtube. Tons of Youtubers are using them for everything from everyday videos to independent films. Of course there are a lot of DSLR cameras on the market right now but The T2i has got to be one of the most popular. And shooting with a professional camera like this will really help your videos look a lot more professional. You have so many features you can use on this camera like adjusting the color settings, you can change out lenses, you can even open up your aperture to allow more light into your camera which means that you donít have to fuss with external lighting, so you can actually get a much better picture faster. Now I still think the Kodak Zi8 is the best choice for portability and the quality it gives for the price is well worth it. (which by the way you can get on Amazon right now for about $110) Even the audio on the Zi8 is pretty decent, especially when combined with a nice lapel mic. But the only downfall you're gonna face with these types of cameras, will be the fact that they are very light hungry. In fact, all digital camera eat up light but some of them, like the Zi8 for instance, don't perform very well in low light conditions. Yes, it does say that their equipped for low light and it's not horrible but it's not gonna give off a beautiful HD picture unless it has enough light to make those colors pop. The best advice I can give you on this will be to try and use as much natural light as possible, and that's with any camera, but that natural sunlight will help enhance proper color and diminish a lot of the dark contrast you might have in your videos. Just be careful not to overexpose your subject. So lets divide this screen in half and I'll show you the difference in the video quality of the Zi8 Vs The T2i. Alright so this is the exact same video I haven't adjusted anything or did anything with lighting, I just want you to see what the quality difference is like so you can get an idea of how much more professional a better quality camera can make your videos look. There's not a whole lot of light in here right now, I've have the blinds open on all the windows to let in as much sunlight as I can and I also have an additional 500 watt halogen bulb down here, you know, just so I can give it that much more light, but thats really all. Over here on the left is the Kodak Zi8 while over here on the right is the Canon T2i. Like I mentioned, the canon doesn't need as much light as the Kodak but if you're shooting outdoors then you can get a really nice picture off the Zi8. And your indoor lighting might be better than mine, I really don't like the way that my house is designed. I don't seem to get very good sunlight no matter what room I'm in. So this gives you an idea of how professional your videos feel from what your viewers are seeing, and spending the extra money on either lighting or a nice professional DSLR camera will give you the pro look you're going for. So I hope your videos turn out really great and see you in my next video.
